The fine print
Terms of use.
The ground rules for using this site, in plain language.
Welcome. This site is published by Dr. Alexis Yip, DMD. By reading it, you agree to these terms. They're short, and they're written for humans.
This is education, not care
Everything on this site is educational content. It is not medical or dental advice. Reading this site does not make you a patient of Dr. Yip, and it does not create a dentist-patient relationship. Nothing here diagnoses or treats any condition.
Why the distinction matters: a real diagnosis needs a licensed provider who can examine you in person, because every mouth and every situation is different. Use what you learn here to understand your own health better, and work with your own dentist or physician on decisions about your care.
Using this site
Read it, share it, link to it. That's what it's here for. What's not okay: copying the site wholesale, scraping it, or republishing the writing as your own. The content here belongs to Dr. Alexis Yip. Quoting a passage with credit and a link is always welcome.
Product mentions and ratings
When a product gets mentioned or graded on this site, that grade is an honest editorial opinion based on reading the available evidence. Nothing here is sponsored. No company pays for a mention, a grade, or a kind word. A rating is one informed opinion offered to help you decide for yourself. It is not an endorsement or a guarantee.
Links to other sites
Some pages link out to other websites, like research papers or organizations. Those links are there for convenience. Dr. Yip doesn't control those sites and isn't responsible for what lives on the other end.
No warranties
This site is provided as-is. We work hard to keep the content accurate and current, but we can't promise it's free of errors or that it fits your specific situation. Science evolves, and so does this site.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Dr. Alexis Yip is not liable for any damages arising from your use of this site or your reliance on its content. Decisions about your health belong with you and your own licensed providers.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arizona, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.
Changes
These terms may be updated from time to time. When they change, the date below changes with them. Continuing to use the site after an update means you accept the new version.
